System Center Universe is coming closer – some facts before we get started! #SCU_Europe

System Center Universe Europe is the European community event of the year if you are interested in Microsoft cloud, datacenter and workplace topics. Happening in Basel-Switzerland from September 17-19 2014, top speakers and community experts from around the world will present more than 60 breakout sessions during 3 conference days. Besides learning about the latest products and technologies, you have to option to become part of this unique community yourself!

We announced the event in January. To give you some insights into the planning phase here’s what happened so far.

We found a great venue in Basel-Switzerland that allows us to present sessions in 4 parallel tracks. The location is great for technical multi-track conferences and offers the attendees to stay in one of the nearby hotels. The WLAN infrastructure is key to us, and we promise that it will be as good as during SCU 2013 DACH/Europe!

We defined the schedule and received many session proposals. Some of those are already confirmed, some are still pending. We want to make sure that our attendees get the best content available and therefore want to be flexible in making decisions for/against sessions a few weeks before the conference kicks off. Make sure you don’t miss the keynote and the closing note as we have much information to share and give away some nice stuff! We will also have a lot of side meetings available and a ask-the-experts area where you can get your questions answered.

17 awesome sponsors
are supporting our conference (Microsoft, Cisco, Cireson, OpsLogix, Derdack, BlueStripe, Veeam, Vision Solutions, Matrix42, Inserto, Syliance IT Services, Comtrade, Secunia, Cased Dimensions, Nutanix, Savision and itnetx)

We could engage 40 top speakers and community leaders from around the world to speak at this great conference (speakers from The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Denmark, Austria, Ireland, Sweden and Norway)

Attendees from around the world registered already, more will follow during the next weeks (attendees from Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Iceland, Australia, Belgium, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, France and more)

We planned an amazing networking party on September 18! Make sure you have enough time to attend the party to network with sponsors, speakers, attendees and the SCU Europe staff. Make good connections for the future and new friends from around the world!

Sounds good? But wait, it gets even better! Why not attending for free?

The SCU 2014 Europe committee will give away five 3-day conference passes for free, every pass worth CHF729! How can you get one of those? Easy as 1-2-3: Post a funny picture of yourself that proves that you are a SCU & System Center enthusiast on twitter using the hashtag #SCU_Europe! We will honor the funniest photographs and the ones with the most likes and retweets with free conference passes! Deadline will be end of August, but the earlier you start, the better are your chances to win! We will also show the funniest pictures before the conference keynote in September!

More information about the conference can be found here –>

Looking forward to see you in September I Switzerland!

    Hello Mr. Marcelzehner,
My name is Olafur and I am a System Manager at Islandsbanki in Iceland. I have been reading your blog since I started to put up SCSM last year. We are the first Company in Iceland to run Service Manager and we have SCCM and we are also putting up SCOM and Orchestrator. But I have problem that I would address for you. My CEO is now having cold feet about the Service Manager and I am trying to convince him that it is the right way to go to use Service Manager, so my question to you is could you point me out for Companies that are using Service Manager so I can show my CEO that this product is working well. I think my CEO has had some sales people that are trying to sell him some other product. Well I would like to thank you for all your advices on your side, you have being helping me for a long time with your writing.
    Best Regards
